Dojo Remodel June 6-June15, 2008
On June 6, 2008, some very dedicated if not insane members of
the dojo began demolition of the interior walls -- walls that
had seen better days. There were holes in the walls made
from zealous students during training. Parts of the
railing had been pulled away during wall training. And
mirrors had cracks in them from intense concentration.

June 7, 2008 found members practicing their kicks to speed
demolition along. Walls knocked down, tarp pulled off,
insulation stuffed in and new drywall put up. See the fun video (with music!)
The week of June 8th Tim Collette put up drywall, contracted
the mudders and got the place ready for painting.
June 13, 2008 The paint was chosen. Well, not really,
but at least more than one person looked at samples.
June 14, 2008 The walls were primed, the paint samples
went up on the wall. Nope, not good enough. Back to
the paint store for more samples. Return to the dojo and
slap different colors on the wall. Decided on a beautiful
green. Off to Sempai David's for his approval. Back
to the store for 7 gallons of the green. Back to the dojo
and the green was put up. [Oh, we certainly have pictures
on this day! Now where did we put that
camera......] Found the camera. Here's a lil' slideshow (no music, but hey, it's
fun to watch).
June 15, 2008 What progress! What a mess! Finish
the trim, touch up the walls, put up the wood and rails, the
trim, the face plates, you name it we painted it.

June 16, 2008 Clean up, hurry hurry, a class was beginning at
4:30 and the floor was a mess. But hey, our mad, insane,
and generous team got the job done just in time!
